Dear Chief,
Oh my goodness, happy half birthday, son! Wow, that really flew by. The last six months you have gone from a tiny newborn sleeping in our room to a bouncy, hair grabbing bundle of happy. Those first few weeks were pure magic. Late night feedings, changing your diaper on that vintage green towel. Hearing your newborn gurgles beside me in the middle of the night. Ahem, sleeping seven hours straight. I will always hold those memories close to my heart.
Now, however is just as sweet. You are so much fun! These next six months your personality is going to start to show through and I am so excited. You are a happy baby who loves people, smiling and eye contact. You are so easy going. You make it known when you're hungry or tired, but other than that you just go along for the ride. You absolutely adore your sister and are so happy when she plays with you.
You have learned to sleep on your tummy, which is helping you at night. You go down like a champ around 7:30, usually get up a couple times and start your day around 8 in the morning. You take two naps a day and Mommy does a happy dance when your nap coincides with Big Sister's.
At your six month checkup you weighed 16 pounds (25%) and were 26 1/2" tall (60%). You are healthy, strong and lovin' life! You have started eating some solid foods, and even enjoy a couple. :)
We absolutely LOVE having you in our family. You were always meant to be, and I thank God for you everyday. These next six months will hold a lot more firsts for you, and we can't wait to cheer you on for each one of those. Until then, please stay little longer. I just love holding you and sharing snuggle upon snuggle each day.
