A Walkin' Talkin' Little Person

IMG_9201

Little Miss Cricket is on the move. She has been walking for a couple months, but lately she is even more determined than ever to be a full time walker. She rarely crawls, instead choosing to use those legs that have always been extremely strong toddling everywhere she can. It is pretty much the cutest thing you've ever seen when you open your arms and she toddles over to fall into a big bear hug.

God's little angel gracing us with that smile. Oh, Lordy I just can't get enough.
My Mama and I were chatting the other day that there is nothing you can buy that beats the love and energy of a little one. They keep you on your toes, but they also and more importantly, make you appreciate the little things in life. Cricket makes me see the world wide open and full of creative possibilities. She makes me realize that things are not as important as moments. Watching her explore the backyard, giggle at Bonnie pup, or pucker up to give kisses to her Daddy are truly priceless. She has opened my eyes and enlarged my heart to see what really matters. Families are such treasures and they come in all different shapes and sizes, just right for each of us.

Follow along this Midwesterners joyful, slightly dorky, always unique perspective on life as I seek to glorify God through photos, stories, recipes and laughter.
