It's that time of year again! Mr. Schalk has been hard at work planting flowers and veggies in our garden. You may remember our garden adventures last year. We had a lot of fun with our veg boxes and weed pulling. Well, maybe not the latter, but it was fun to reap what we sowed. I am so excited to have fresh veggies this summer. Tomatoes, greens, carrots, herbs and more. Oh, it is going to be delish!

Mr. Schalk has really put in a lot of work to make our garden and backyard grow. I'm so proud of him! He's even recruited a cute little helper.

Hmmm, there's no denying they belong to each other. Little Cricket is daddy's girl through and through!

Cricket's special flower, Rose of Sharon. Grandpa Ed picked it out especially for her! xoxo

We are excited to watch our garden grow! Mr. Schalk and I have been talking for months about planting the garden with Cricket and enjoying the outdoors together as a family. Now to get rid of these mosquitos. We have had a lot of rain this Spring, and they seem to have invaded early. We may just tiki torch our backyard in abundance so we can enjoy it without pesky skeeters ruining our fun.

What do you think? A new look? It may just take off!

xoxo, Rachel
