sick day

Thank you hubby for capturing this sweet moment. @bps182
Thank you Mr. Schalk for capturing this. xoxo

My baby girl was sick last week. At one point, my normally energetic girl was on the couch with her doll held close watching Caillou (so. much. Caillou). That never happens, which meant she was feeling pretty bad. The doctor said her lungs sounded good and she just had a virus. And, wouldn't you know Cricket bounced back within a matter of days. She does not let things get her down for long. What a blessed little babe. It broke my heart to see her under the weather, but I soaked in every snuggle she wanted. At one point she even fell asleep on my shoulder. Of course, that was when the power went off for 4 1/2 hours. Thank God for fireplaces and happy spirits. That was a rough day, for sure. It is such a blessing to be able to provide Cricket with love and care on days like that. There are no things in the world that can compare to the gift of love.

Glad she is her spunky self again. Now excuse me, I have a toddler to chase down! :)

  1. What a beautifully tender picture. Thank you so much for sharing. I am glad she is back to normal now. It's not nice when our wee ones are not well. xxoo

  2. I just got a call today from Kaishon's school to pick him up. I think he has a virus also because we went to the dr. last week and they couldn't find anything specific. Darn it. He fell asleep on my shoulder on the way home from school. Snuggles are the best. No matter if they are with a toddler or a 13 year old, right?
