We packed up the family and headed to the lake a couple weeks ago. We were looking forward to a nice weekend with Mr. Schalk's parents. We were also excited to see how Miss Cricket would enjoy the lake now that she was older. Last year, when she was 5-6 months old, she loved boat rides with the wind in her face. She was not amused, however, by the chilly lake water.
The Michigan water can be cold in June, but this weekend it was pretty warm. Yippee! Our little water bird got in her floaty and was a happy camper. We LOVE
this floaty! It came with a canopy, but we left it off this time. Mr. Schalk spun her 'round and 'round. She floated beside him as he got the boat ready (more boat pictures on the way).
It was a great weekend for Cricket and for us. She got to play with Grandma and Grandpa Schalk and Bonnie all weekend long. We enjoyed great company, yummy food and a beautiful lake. Who could ask for more?
